Beetle engine 1300 cc to 1600 cc

April 7, 2007 on 6:57 pm | In Volkswagen Beetle |

Some people may not like that I keep making VW posts. I will be doing some more BH SEO ones soon but if you don’t like it then you can subscribe to just the ‘Blackhat SEO’ RSS or go specifically to that area on the website and avoid all the VW posts :)

Last night my friend came over late and helped me quickly finish removing the front beam so hopefully tomorrow I can put the new beam in and go pickup some parts that I need. I’m not sure where I’m going to get new shocks from though!

Today I was helping a couple of my friends with the upgrade of a 1300cc engine to 1600. It has been a good day and I think I have learnt a fair bit. I think once I have done lowering the front I will want to upgrade the engine and then next job would be to lower the back.

  1. I can’t get away from the non bh stories so I don’t see why anyone else should be able to - in fact I’m posting this from my phone in a cottage in the lakes as I wanted to see if the deathtrap had killed you yet :)

  5. As it happens the engine is finally back in the car and all I have to do now is some gearbox bits and the carbs and it will be back on the road. I can’t decide to tcut it to have nice shiny paint or keep the worn look! New pics soon though definately :)
