With a little on-page optimisation and well planned webspamming to generate incoming links you truely can rank for very competitive terms. Forget about looking for relevant partners to link to your websites and unique content! As long as you mix scraped content up in a nice template and webspam to generate a reasonable amount of links you will be fine.
