Well Keniki, you were successful! You finally managed to get a whole post dedicated to just you on my blog

Keniki (Greg) popped up quite some time ago, I first encountered him on Matt Cutts blog and at first he seemed like your average do gooder anti-spammer, fair enough me thinks. However unlike your average spam hunter who tries to gather some proof and actual facts about spammers, this guy simply throws wild accusations around like seo is some kind of dangerous cult and hopes that he might catch something slightly along the line of truth.

According to Greg, I own several large web hosting companies, I have multiple online (well known) personalities and I’m an all round bad guy! Or to put it in Kenikis words, I’m a prick

Keniki has had a go at just about everything and everyone and has had run ins with the likes of cutts, dave naylor and seoidiot. For just a sample of this wierdos ramblings check out this Keniki post.

I have spoken to Greg numerous times on the telephone he seemed drowsy and was slurring his words. Does anyone know if he has a drinking problem? Or is he mentally ill? I couldn’t determine for sure He often posts random abusive comments at throughout the day and night and appears to set alarms for odd hours to get up purely to post a comment and then go back to sleep, that’s the way I understood it after speaking to him anyway so yeah to be fair the guy does have problems in his head. Each time I speak to Greg he says he Is going to back off and stop making up random things but each time he pops back up with more comments.

So Greg, I called you today after your most recent tirade and it seems you don’t want to speak to me anymore… you were quite obviously available and then I’m patient enough to wait and you simply hang up the call on me! Then when I call back you refuse to answer.. poor show buddy. I saw you were trying to get Seoidiot into a boxing ring, lmao! SES London is on this week, why don’t you come up and say hello to everyone? Maybe you’ll like us OR Maybe you could just do like you originally said and just move on and stop trying to harass people? No one is interested in you or out to get you (regardless of how paranoid you get), just leave people alone and everyones happy.

As`far as the web ersun I am walking away. The final thing was to provide protection for websites from all black hat seo methods opensource and a site that did that. All clients and sites I have interest in have either been sold or moved on. Evan my servers I am selling on.

I haven’t a clue what I will do next. But to survive in this marketplace I feel I would have to damage other webmaster work. I am not willing to do that.

I didn’t feel like talking yesterday, personal stuff. Fear of the future stuff like that. I never thought all I learnt would be rendered useless by attacks from black hat seo to my clients websites.

Ersun I have been scraped 302 hijacked frame hijacked , hundreds of proxy hijacks, mail spammed, spambotted, image hotlink, pdf hotlinked, and googlebowled Oh and not to mention several dnsattacks. I had attempted hijacks through babelfish through webarchieve. I had googlebowling through XML feeds and APi’s from Search feeds on top of the scraping. I have had to block over 1000 (ip ranges).

So its not surprised I am pretty angry at black hat seo. Paranoid well maybe. Walking away well Keniki is now closing as the content protection is complete yep I am taking a break gonna modify it to keep within google rules and then release it opensource somewhere…………..

My problem is not with you Ersun but your industry which I think is immoral. I hope one day you build a site you put your best efforts into. Then I hope you never have to go through my experience. If someone can improve on your efforts I say good luck but if someone sets out with a business plan to damage everyone else just to get ahead………well thats black hat seo.

Keniki, I have built plenty of sites and experienced problems but you shouldn’t take it personally and should just put more effort into improving your sites and if you feel necessary then protecting as required rather than getting upset about it. This blog alone gets scraped and used on other blogs, DoS’d, people try and SELL scripts I have written and given away here etc. You know what I do about it? I ignore it! I get on and continue to post and the site does just fine. The better quality your site is and authoritative then the harder it is for people to even have success with such techniques. It’s more likely that your using old methods and bad SEO techniques than people are having a negative effect on your sites.

If you’re having so much happening to just one site then it’s more likely someone in specific is out to get you because you keep throwing comments around rather than the “blackhat” community as a whole.

heh yes it’s a quality film, no doubt. Another great film which I thought was similar is The Machinist, if you haven’t seen it then you should definitely try get hold of it.

There is no real line between blackhat and whitehat, its just different methods at the end of the day…. everyone’s out to do the same thing . What’s worse, some big corp paying thousands for links to get above you , essentially knocking you out of the serps or a small guy who takes content from elsewhere and uses it to rank above you. Meh as I say everytime we talk, it’s business and everyone is out to do exactly the same thing.. just different methods.

I’ll check that film out cheers ;). “Outlaw” is pretty good uk film I saw the otherday.

I think the line I draw between whitehat and blackhat is that a lott of blackhat is based on actively damaging competitors whilst whitehat would maybe look at a competitor and try to do it better. I also agree about the big corp thing. I am pretty good at tracking this stuff online and its surprising how far up it goes. An auction site you most probably heard of (he,he) owns a load of shopping directory sites that are serving xml feeds and sites are beeing created out mixing there data with scraped content.

The content protection system I wrote didn’t catch people like yourselves when I tracked early attempts back to scrape it was to corparate companies or big networks in canada,texas and germany. And this is while I am building a site there!!!!

The thing is I believe if you can write original content and protect it all the other seo stuff is just a load of bollox……..

And thats what I am trying to help people do.

Wow keniki, 1am, 2am even 4am! Someone needs to get some sleep and stop staying up so late

I wouldn’t expect to learn much at SES myself, indeed especially anything along the lines of duplicating someones content to try make the original site look like its using duplicate content itself. But then I don’t expect I could learn anything from you that I wouldn’t already know either. Ebay (I’m presuming here) don’t need to do anything dodgy with their current reputation and I think you need to learn the difference between a company itself doing dodgy seo and an seo agency they employ doing dodgy seo, completely different thing. Also whats wrong with xml feeds.. Your sites must be pretty low quality if you’re getting knocked out so easy for duplicate content, it’s not an easy task against an authoritative website.

I really want to see this amazing system, you say it’s open source so lets see it…..!

Yep its a good system but not a great system yet and everyday I think of ways to make it better and better. Of course it will go opensource thats my mission “to totally destroy black hat seo” but I need google approval that it meets there guidelines or how to append to meet guidelines.

Today for instance I realised the google verification code can be used as a meta tag when only googlebot (reversed and forward dnsed of course) visit a site. This could provide google a true source of content signal.

I have no business association with Bronco/Dave so I’m not sure where you’re going with that one.

Also I keep trying to explain to you about this whole libel thing. You can’t just go out and spend £30 on a limited company to be created and then try pass the buck onto the company rather than yourself. Ermm nope keniki I decided to make a company that helps people protect their content therefore all comments it makes are directed towards that and for the company.

Also you have never understood that more than one person comments under the tag. I am actually thinking of making it a free speach company and putting content protection on another domain.

Therefore anyone wanting to say something that they may get sued by more powerfull parties may in future be able to use keniki.

Greg and John, when will you understand that the world doesn’t work like that? You can’t get away with people making libel comments and just saying “Okay it’s me writing these things but I want all blame to go on my LTD company”. This isn’t a chat room, add me on MSN. You know there’s always going to be the problem that no matter how much protection is put together:
- 1) blackhats will find a way around it
- 2) people wont find out about protection until its too late.
- Scripts pose as real users and scrape the pages
- The content is automatically uploaded to blogs and duplicated on free hosts and domains under their control
Can work out very effective and can earn a reasonable amount of money after the negative effects become apparent. Cuts out the need for free web proxy services and makes it near impossible to be blocked. Oh well, guess you probably already knew this

My system prevents scraping hijacking and mail spammers and is server side so apart from your pathetic attempts to hack users firewalls there is no type of site you can create this way once the system is rolled out.

Come on try again Ersun your “business” is dependent on defeating this system and I say that in the loosest sense of the word business. Translation servers won’t work anymore proxies won’t work ,mail harvesters won’t work ,302’s won’t work, scrapers won’t work, dns attacks won’t work, frames won’t work, php redirects won’t work, metarefresh won’t work ,and arpanet useragent won’t work.

Ok if you want to have a serious conversation about apache and as I have now found out this will work on microsoft servers as well (I don’t dislike microsoft I just didn’t know Windows servers worked with it till a mate checked) and I assume I am talking to someone with some clout, we’ll start over and I will come and discuss this properly when this post is deleted. I assume by now you realise I have a detection of 302 redirects in this system.

Also since my last post I now have definate evidence of a direct link between email spam and webspam as Ersun was stupid enough to sign his name on one of the mails inpersonating one of my sites by spamming out email in its name. By doing that he opened up far deeper networks than “the planet”.

There are very few people that inspire me in this industry Bill Gates, not inspirational but yes I respect him for his fight on spam and business accumen. Google yes I loved them for what they once were and hope one day they become what they once aspired to be.

Not only did this guy build apple and a operating systems far superior to windows in its time he suffered the humilation of beeing forced out of his own company that he created in the 1980’s when the finiancial boys employed after floatation decided that the ex chairman of Coca Cola was more suited to take Apple forward than the people that created it.

He came back for $1 a year and through inoviation turned Apple around into one of the major brand names in the world. Now thats a guy that inspires me.

You didn’t break me Ersun, you neither broke my spirit or my heart. What made me decide you couldn’t win was seeing the result of decisions made by probably another “ex-chairman of Coca Cola” at a Major Search engine. The decision to not listen to “trademark complaints on advertising” is what made me give up the fight. I would have fought you till the end but that decision is a direct slap in the face to anyone trying to build brands online and is a pure gift to spam. It made me realise even if I prevented every type of threat to anyones site and letts remember I was fighting for every website, even that little guy that maybe didn’t know his site was beeing destroyed , you still couldn’t win. I was working in london at the time it was twelve hour days but I was not making enough money to keep us afloat and my wife just gave birth to our first baby and I couldn’t ask her to go back to work. Some friends “Rob and Paul” set me up some of my own contracts. A friendship at an old customer “Colin, Pete” set me up a major contract and I got the business up and running.

Sometimes I didn’t get paid for months and sometimes we celebrated and bought champaign it was an up and down existance. When we went online it exploded for us we always said we would only make money through servicing. We changed the market all of a sudden we were selling something at cost that others charged full price for.

The market eventually matched and we were targeted by black hat seo for completely eliminating our positions online and people like ersun signed on ready to do it.

If EU look at google there are many many other alternatives and goog will be decimated. Microsoft were able to withstand EU scrutiny because they had a unique product.
